With a degree in Art History and an early career in fine art museums, Kari has long held a fascination for the symbols, objects, and styles that have shaped visual culture. Her jewelry practice builds on that appreciation, reimagining ancient emblems, revisiting modern art movements, and allowing each work to inform the next. Hand-fabricated in her Portland, Oregon studio, her work aims to balance revival and originality, the organic and the geometric, artistic intention and wearability.
